Our Services

Jackson Financial Advisors has experience working with a diverse range of clients with varying needs and financial complexity. Although the firm is located in a suburb of Boston, it has provided services to clients around the globe.

Since inception, the firm has delivered services to over 100 clients, including individuals, families and businesses. These activities have involved advising on over $100 million dollars of financial assets, and currently the firm actively manages approximately $18 million in investments.

At Jackson Financial Advisors we help our clients take the guess-work out of planning their finances, whether saving for college or retirement, planning a major purchase, investing, seeking to minimize taxes, or finding the most efficient way to leave a legacy to family or organizations they care about.

Financial Planning Services

Jackson Financial Advisors follows the rigorous standards established for financial planning by the CFP Board, considered by many to be the ‘gold standard’ for financial planning. The creation of our financial plans benefit our clients by:
  • Identifying and determining the feasibility of related objectives and provide integrated solutions that balance goals with available resources.
  • Identifying specific actions that, if taken, may help increase the client’s creation of wealth and increase the likelihood that a client’s objectives may be realized or exceeded.
  • Developing highly efficient ways to simplify the management of one’s finances and reduce taxes.
  • Reduce risks related to premature death, disability, probate, taxes and investing.
  • Giving our clients a greater understanding and sense of confidence about their personal finances.
Although the concept of financial planning is fairly simple, the creation of a sound financial plan tailored to one's needs is usually complex. The development of a comprehensive financial plan requires expertise in various subject areas including cash flow and budgeting, retirement planning, education planning, investment planning, risk management, tax planning, and estate planning.

Because each client is unique, all of our plans are custom designed. When a client has a need for specialized expertise, Jackson Financial Advisors has a strong network of CPAs, attorneys, and other professionals that it can call upon to provide the level of expertise required to design or implement a client’s financial plan.

Investment Management Services
At Jackson Financial Advisors, we believe that investing is NOT an end in itself; it is the means to an end.

We believe that wealth accumulation is created by investing for the long term with a common-sense approach that is based on real world needs. As such we select individual investments based on a long-term, ‘buy & hold’ approach. As a financial planning firm first, we create investment portfolios that are integrated with our client’s overall financial situation, objectives, and risk tolerance.

The first step of our investment management process involves gathering information from the client in order to determine the ultimate use of the funds being invested, to determine the client’s risk tolerance, and to understand other financial issues that will impact how and what the client should invest in such as the need to apply for financial aid, tax issues, and gifting objectives.

Once the relevant factors have been identified, we then construct and manage portfolios using a three-step approach:
  • Asset Allocation. All investment management services involve a consistent process that approaches portfolio construction from the top-down, starting at the asset class level. Here we determine the appropriate allocation of stock, bond, and cash investments consistent with the client’s objectives. We utilize a proprietary and innovative approach based on years of financial research and theories pioneered by industry experts.
  • Investment Selection. The firm leverages the 20+ years’ experience of our principal who performed due diligence on professional money managers prior to becoming a financial adviser. Investments are selected from an internally researched list that exceeds our performance requirements and also a number of qualitative factors. Where active portfolio management has not provided sufficient value, lower cost exchange-traded and index funds and, when appropriate, individual bonds are used.
  • Ongoing Management & Monitoring. Throughout the year, we monitor the overall economic environment as well as individual client investments. Each quarter we review each client portfolio and at least once a year we conduct a formal Annual Review Meeting to evaluate portfolio performance and progress towards financial goals. As appropriate to each client account, an opportunistic approach is pursued which may involve changing asset class, sector, or country weightings based on our outlook.
We firmly believe in a common-sense approach to providing cost-effective investments to our clients with a high level of customization for each client. The success that our firm has experienced in its early years instills in us a high level of confidence in this strategy. We pride ourselves on having built our business over a short period of time, primarily through referrals from our existing clients.
